AirMesh Polyester is a perforated textile, which is suitable for an array of outdoor applications in the most demanding of surroundings and conditions, where other materials may not cope.
Material Overview
The first question we are usually asked about AirMesh Polyester is "is it a flag or is it a banner?". The good news is that it's both - it is an incredibly versatile material that can be used for all kinds of outdoor products and use cases where either PVC-based materials have reigned supreme for many years, and also where flag material (knitted polyester) has been used.

Each item is printed and finished to your requirements.
Fabrics are printed via a process of dye-sublimation which uses special inks and undergoes a post-print heating process to 'fix' the ink into the fabric. This makes it both scuff-resistant and washable.

Advantages Over PVC-Based Materials
Whereas its PVC-based counterparts require more careful packaging, such as being rolled around a central core (tube) to prevent folding, creasing and pinching, AirMesh Polyester is well suited to folding down, and this makes for far simpler and easier shipping, trasportation and deployment.
At 150gsm, AirMesh Polyester is incredibly lightweight, making handling and deployment easier for end users and fitters. As an example, a full 3375mm × 1780mm Heras Fencing Banner on AirMesh Polyester weighs 0.8kg, compared to around 1.9kg for a PVC-based equivalent - this can make a huge difference for longer/larger installations. Despite the lighter weight, the 100% polyester makeup of the material and industry-machine sewn hems result and a very strong fabric, that coupled with its airflow qualities, create a finished product that will last.
With its 100% polyester makeup, the material is more environmentally friendly than traditional PVC-based materials. This can often be a requirement for certain customers, end users and companies that have environmental targets or policies, so AirMesh Polyester can open up new markets and opportunities where PVC-based materials are automatically ruled out.
While Mesh PVC has an amount of airflow, AirMesh is even more ideal for contending with more demanding breezy conditions.

Finishes Available for AirMesh Polyester
Below are the standard finishes available for this material. There are no additional charges for these finishes.

Hems & Eyelets
Graphics will be given a stitched hem, then eyeletted at equal distributions along the hem. Eyelets are clear plastic.
The standard distribution of eyelets is one per metre. If you require a different distribution or specific placement of eyelets, that’s no problem at all - simply let us know what you need when you place your order.

Pole Pockets
A pocket is added to the edges you require to allow a pole to pass through and support/tension the banner.
The diameter of the pocket can be specified by you, however, if you let us know the diameter of the object to go into the pole pocket we can calculate the size of the pocket for you.
Artwork
To help ensure your artwork is processed quickly and without any problems, please refer to our artwork requirements.
For any AirMesh Polyester items, 50mm bleed must be supplied. This allows for any extra material required for hems, as well as shrinkage and movement when printing and cutting.
Notice
While AirMesh Polyester is a tight-knit fabric, some light show-through is possible when light sources are behind the fabric.
AirMesh Polyester items are supplied folded in polybags. Any creases can be ironed out or will drop out when the fabric is tensioned.
Our thread colours are black or white. Our sewists will choose the most appropriate colour to complement your graphic.
Currently we can only print up to 3 metres on the shortest edge, to our standard pricing. Fabric prints above this size will require a bespoke quotation.
