Honeycomb Monolith
Product Overview
Entirely Honeycomb-board-constructed, and fully-recyclable alternative to a Roller Banner or Stretch Fabric Stand
The Honeycomb Monolith has been designed from the ground up as an eco-friendly alternative to the traditional Roller Banner. It is also equivalent in shape and size to a Stretch Fabric Stand, and is an ideal freestanding graphic suitable for many different use cases.
Made from 16mm-thick Honeycomb board, it offers a bespoke-printable single-sided face 750mm wide by 2000mm tall. Keeping the face upright is a bespoke-printable base, made from the same Honeycomb board.
The face panel folds down to half of its standing size, saving space during shipping and storage, and allowing for easier transport.
The face is partially folded at a thirty degree angle down the middle, which aids with stability when standing.
Honeycomb Monoliths are perfect for use cases that require a similar physical presence as a roller banner, but where environmental and sustainability concerns are paramount. The internal profile of the honeycomb struture is proudly displayed on the edges of the graphic panels, promoting its eco-friendly nature.
Each graphic is packaged and shipped within a made-to-fit box constructed entirely of cardboard and Honeycomb board, with internal cutouts to hold the graphic parts in place. This box both protects the graphic during shipping to you or your client, provides convenient storage when not in use and is perfect for transporting the graphic between locations.
Both face and base, along with the packaging box are completely disposable and recyclable. Once the product outlives its needed purpose, all elements can be safely recycled.
Honeycomb Monoliths are suitable for indoor use only, and are perfect for:
- Exhibitions, trade shows, conferences, seminars and expos
- Retail shops and showrooms
- Cafes and restaurants
- Entertainment venues
- Education campuses
- Hospitality venues and hotels
- Healthcare facilities
- Business networking events
- Indoor sports halls
- Business waiting rooms and lobbies
- Private parties and events
As an added advantage, for trade shows and exhibitions that provide recycling services at close of show, Honeycomb Monoliths can be included as part of your breakdown recycling materials.

What is Honeycomb Board?
Honeycomb Board is a 3D, FSC certified, 100% recyclable paper-based material with a dense and strong, but lightweight 'honeycomb' core.
It comes to us with white outer facings, ready for printing.
How It's Printed and Finished By Us
Each 8ft × 4ft Honeycomb board is printed direct-to-board on one of our VUTEk h5 LED printers.
The full board is then passed to one of our four Zund cutting machines where the outer perimeter of each shape is cut with a high-speed oscillating tool. This is capable of cutting boards with impressive speed and accuracy.
Any paths that require a fold are cut with a V-Cut blade tool. This can be configured to cut at one of eight appropriate cutting angles and any depth required by each individual Honeycomb board or product.

Considerations
When assembled, the face panel is partially folded, with each side of the panel displayed at 15 degrees towards the rear. While this usually doesn't need to alter the way a design is created, you may wish to factor this into your design.
Bear in mind that both the face and base panels are folded down for packing and transport. While the fold lines do not obscure any content themselves, they do leave some visible creasing, so we would recommend not positioning any small text or details that traverse these lines.
While the majority of the base panel can be used for your design, remember that the rear portion will be obscured by the face panel.
